Grow National: Ripe & Ready - ESG Workshop
Event description
Sustainability is becoming essential for meeting consumer demand for transparency, helping us meet our national climate targets, and draw value from waste, water and energy reduction.
Join Australia’s Food and Beverage Accelerator (FaBA) to explore how adopting and implementing ESG principles as a framework for assessing and reporting on sustainability can help build climate resilience, lead to cost savings, boost reputation and enable you to provide the metrics and measures that stockists and retailers increasingly require.
Key takeaways:
Understand the requirements of mandatory sustainability reporting
Access tools to help collect and analyse data on your carbon emissions, and
Identify the different audiences and formats for communicating your sustainability goals and achievements.
The workshop features presentation and interactive discussion covering climate reporting, the basics of carbon accounting and establishing a carbon footprint, social impacts, and governance structures to enhance your sustainability strategy.
How you'll learn
You'll join 6-hour in-person workshop spread across a day. The workshop will introduce common concepts and terminology related to Environmental, Social and Governance reporting and describe how it relates
to sustainability. You’ll access existing tools and calculators for estimating the carbon emissions of your operations and explore areas for reducing energy usage and waste.
We will look at common areas for resource efficiency in energy, water and waste. Using the workbook, you will record information specific to your business and create actions for data collection ready to implement when you return to your site.
