Event description
Get ready to dig in! This workshop is perfectly timed to help you prepare your vegie patch in time for spring and the warm weather crops that come with it.
Whether you're starting from scratch or looking to improve your current garden, this beginner-friendly session will provide the knowledge and motivation to grow your own productive vegie patch or “yummy yard.”
We'll cover all the essentials—from where to position your garden and why, through to the nitty-gritty of soil health, composting, irrigation, seasonal planting, seeds vs seedlings, and more. You’ll also learn how to encourage beneficial bugs and tackle common garden challenges naturally.
Held at Sophie’s Patch 2.0 in the beautiful mid Murray region, this workshop includes a delicious morning tea or coffee and a slice of Sophie’s famous homemade cake.
If you’ve ever dreamed of harvesting your own organic, vine-ripened tomatoes - or any other tasty home-grown vegies - this is the perfect place to start!
