Interested in growing your very own berries? There is nothing like freshly picked berries or the joy of preserving your glut of berries into yummy jams.
In this hands on workshop you will learn about the wide range of berry fruits that can be grown in Victorian gardens and how to cultivate them for great yields and great flavour.
You will also learn about berry selection, planting and fertilising, and how to prune and trellis a range of different berry fruits.
Trainer Bio:
Poppy Turbiak has been working in horticulture and permaculture for over 10 years and loves to grow good food to eat. Her work includes school gardens teaching children about plants and she currently works in community gardens assisting adults grow a garden plot. She is passionate about harvesting and loves fermenting, pickling, brewing and preserving the glut whenever there is too much.
