Event description

Learn to grow microgreens, tiny seedlings of herbs and vegetables which can be grown in small spaces, inside and out.

What’s it all about?

Microgreens are tiny seedlings of herbs and vegetables which can be used as a garnish on anything from pizza to pasta to salad to curry! They are packed with flavour and are very nutritious with more goodness than the adult version of the same herbs and vegetables!

Despite being expensive to buy, microgreens are super easy to grow, both indoors and out, and in the smallest of spaces, making them an ideal choice for budding and keen food gardeners including those with only a windowsill to garden.

What will we cover?

While we’re planting our own microgreens to take home, we’ll learn about microgreens including:

• Varieties

• Where to source organic seeds or those not treated with chemicals or genetic modifications

• Growing mediums including soil and coconut coir

• The nitty gritty of how to grow and care for microgreens

• When to harvest them

• How to use them in the kitchen

What will your ticket price cover?

Your ticket covers your class price, your own pot of microgreens to take home, and a beer, wine or non-alcoholic drink!
