Growing Through It Youth Support Program

Ages: 12-17 Affected by Suicide, grief and loss.

Date: Starting Thursday 24th of October and running until the 5th of December

Time: Thursdays 3:15 - 4:45pm

Venue: Byford Library - 858 S Western Hwy, Byford WA 6122

OUTCOMES AND OBJECTIVES:

Guide young people as they explore and navigate their way through the grief journey. Providing the tools to grieve well and find meaning and purpose in their lives.
Provide opportunities for young people to connect with mental health professionals, agencies, and other supports. If needed, to also ensure they have access to additional personal and professional resources outside of the group.
Develop skills and strategies for managing the complex emotions that may arise from a suicide loss and/or suicidal thoughts such as guilt, anger, and confusion.
To ensure consultations have been made in conjunction with the co-design process, each session will be monitored and reviewed during the eight-week program.
