Growing Together

The Fourth Trimester Begins Now

Saturday 7 November 2026 | 2-5pm

Gymea Community Hall | 39 Gymea Bay Road, Gymes

An afternoon of learning, connection and community.

Preparing for birth is only part of the journey. The early months of parenthood are a time of immense change - for your body, your baby, your relationships and your family. Yet so much of the focus during pregnancy is placed on birth itself, with little preparation for what comes next.

Growing Together is a nurturing spring gathering created for expecting parents and families in their first years with baby.

Bringing together experienced local practitioners, the afternoon offers practical, evidence-informed guidance on baby development, recovery, nourishment and relationships.

What we'll explore:

• Baby development: Brain, Body & Connection
• Recovering Well:
Pelvic Floor, Caesarean Recovery & Returning to Movement
• Matrescence:
Growing Through Motherhood
• Nourishing Recovery:
Pregnancy, Postpartum & Family Nutrition
• Relationships:
Becoming Parents, Staying Partners

Alongside inspiring presentations, you'll enjoy opportunities for gentle movement, practical tools, meaningful conversations and connection with other local families.

Every attendee will also receive a thoughtfully curated gift bag and entry into a prize draw featuring thoughtful offerings from our local practitioners and community supporters.

Whether you're preparing to welcome your first baby or growing your family again, our hope is that you leave feeling more informed, more supported and more connected. Come on your own or bring a partner, friend, family member or support person. People of all genders are welcome, and babies in arms attend at no additional cost.

FAQs

  • Who is Growing Together for?

Growing Together is for expecting parents and families in their first years with baby.

You might be preparing for your first baby, or your second, third or fourth...

Each baby brings their own transition, and the shape and rhythm of family life shifts alongside them.

  • Can I come if this isn't my first baby?

Absolutely. Growing Together isn't only for first-time parents.

Every baby brings a new season for a family. Your body, relationships, older children, routines and support needs may all look different this time around.

Growing Together creates space to explore and support those changes too.

  • Can I come while I'm pregnant?

    Yes.

Growing Together has been created for both expecting parents and families navigating the first year after birth.

Coming during pregnancy gives you an opportunity to gather practical knowledge, connect with trusted practitioners and begin thinking about the transition into life with your baby before they arrive.

  • Can partners come?

Yes, and partners are very welcome.

Part of Growing Together explores US: relationships, communication, emotional wellbeing and navigating the changes that come with welcoming a baby together.

A pair ticket is available for those who would like to attend together.

  • Can I come on my own?

Absolutely. You are very welcome to attend on your own, and single tickets are available.

There will also be opportunities throughout the afternoon to connect with other parents, families and practitioners.

  • Can I bring my baby?

Yes. Babies are very welcome in arms and there is no additional cost for babies.

Please bring whatever you need to feed, settle and care for your baby comfortably throughout the afternoon. Feeding, cuddling, changing and tending to your baby are all welcome as you need.

  • What will we explore during the afternoon?

Growing Together explores the transition into life with a baby through four interconnected areas:

    BABY · Development · Regulation · Connection
ME · Matrescence · Physical Recovery · Nourishment
US · Relationships · Emotional Wellbeing · Communication
FAMILY · Practical Support · Community · Finding Your Way Together

The afternoon brings together practical knowledge, honest conversation, gentle movement and connection with a carefully chosen group of practitioners.

  • Where is Growing Together being held?

Growing Together will be held at:

    Gymea Community Hall
    39 Gymea Bay Road
    Gymea NSW

The event runs from 2pm–5pm on Saturday 7 November 2026.

We'll share further arrival, parking and practical information with ticket holders closer to the event.

  • Where can I park?

There are several parking options close to Gymea Community Hall.

Warburton Street & Lane is the closest on-street parking option, directly behind the hall.

Gymea Station / Southern Village Car Park is a short walk from the hall and has larger parking spaces available.

Talara Road North Car Park is a small council parking area beside the Child Care Centre and Hagger Park.

Please check street signs and current parking restrictions when you arrive.

  • Can I come by train?

    Yes.

Gymea Station is directly across the park from the hall. It is approximately a one-minute walk from the station, across the park, to the hall entrance.

  • What should I bring?

Bring whatever you and your baby need to feel comfortable throughout the afternoon, including a water bottle and any feeding or baby-care essentials.

We also recommend wearing comfortable clothing as there will be an opportunity for gentle movement during the afternoon.

  • I still have a question. Who can I contact?

    We'd be happy to help.

Please get in touch with Paola from Nourished Feels or Vanessa from Inborn Vitality with any questions about Growing Together.
