Growing WA native plants in a bushland garden - York

Price FREE Im coming!

Event description

Turn one plant into many and grow your own bushland garden! Learn to grow new plants from cuttings or seed, and how to care for a native garden.

Taking cuttings and growing them into healthy new plants can be daunting but is actually quite simple and an easy way to turn one plant into many plants.

The WA Wildflower Society grows thousands of plants each year using simple propagation techniques. Join us for the morning (from 8am) and learn how we do it. You will work along side one of our friendly volunteers and gain hands-on experience in taking cutting material from healthy plants, potting up rooted cutting, sowing seeds or potting up seedlings.
We may also do some work in our bushland garden, caring for the plants growing there and keeping the garden weed-free and thriving.
Further information about the plants we grow and our bush land garden can be found in these brochures. https://visit.york.wa.gov.au/p... and https://visit.york.wa.gov.au/P...
