    Demystifying the choreographic process - Presenter: Maddie Edwards UniSA

    The workshop breaks down the choreographic creative process and offers valuable insights into current composition practices within the dance industry. Through micro embodied experiences, participants will gain the necessary tools to help their students comprehend and reflect on their own choreographic development. Some movement will be involved; however, participants can choose their own level of intensity.

    The 100-day film project

    Presenter - Dr Tom Young – Filmmaker, business owner and Senior Lecturer, Flinders University.

    Find out what you can do to support students making their own films. In 2023 Tom Young set himself the challenge of making a feature film within 100 days. Not only did he complete the project in 100 days he documented the entire creative process - from development to working with actors, planning the film shoot, production design, cinematography, sound, and editing. All of the production documentation is available for free at www.100dayfilm.com.

    Physical Theatre – Presenter – Karen Inwood UniSA

    Karen has an acting background and over thirty years’ experience as an arts educator with Early Childhood, Primary, Secondary and Tertiary education sectors. In this workshop you will learn the language of the Laban Eight Working Actions, the Viewpoints and Drama Elements to lead you and your students into using physical drama language and creating physical action for creative pursuits.

    2:30 pm – 3:00 pm – Grab a soft drink, quick break and come back together for wrap up and Q&A/discussion and evaluation.
