What We'll Do

6.30 pm - Learn - Growing Your Own Superfoods: The Dynamics of Nutrition Gardening

Presented by Graeme Sait, CEO Nutri-Tech Solutions

In this fascinating, 60 minute presentation, acclaimed Author/Presenter, Graeme Sait, will demonstrate the profound links between soil health, planetary health and the health of you and your family.

A host of tips and strategies will be shared to help you grow nutrient-dense, chemical-free food, with forgotten flavours, extended shelf-life, and greater medicinal qualities.

Nutrition Gardening addresses root causes, to reduce pest pressure and increase stress-free, gardening fun. This involves understanding the relationships between minerals, microbes and humus.

Here are some of the core concepts that will be discussed:

  1. Discover how a healthy soil equates to a happy planet and hardy people. Carbon sequestration in your garden can be a major contributor to countering the global heating challenge.

  2. Understand the basics of mineral soil fertility, including the importance of pH, key mineral ratios, the supreme importance of calcium, and the important roles of neglected trace minerals.

  3. Learn how to feed your soil life and how to replenish this workforce with new recruits via home production of microbial inoculums (DIY living fertilisers).

  4. Improve your skills by monitoring your progress. You will learn several strategies to measure minerals and microbes in your soil.

  5. Discover proactive pest management where a simple focus upon strengthening cell walls can often be a game changer.

  6. Understand the importance of mulch and cover crops, that can provide a living mulch impact

  7. You will also be treated to a host of human health strategies that can help ensure you live a longer, happier, healthier life.
