The Spark Festival presents: Growth = Complexity = Risk
Fast-growing companies are often chasing their tails with the many issues to stay on top of. The management of risk in start-ups and other growth companies is often neglected. The session will provide insights into the risks start-up founders should be considering as their business grows.
The session will be conducted by Juan Perez, Quest Legal founder and former Chief Risk Officer, Peter Deans.
Juan has been a lawyer and run businesses for over 22 years. He is a highly regarded expert in the areas of commercial, intellectual property, franchising, finance and employment law. He also has more than 15 years of experience in executive leadership roles and regularly advises financial institutions on regulatory engagement.
Peter has over 32 years of general management, risk management and banking experience. He is one of the region’s foremost experts in the fields of design and implementation of risk management frameworks, risk function organisational design, risk identification, measurement and reporting, and strategic risk/emerging risk assessment.
