Growth Mindset Workshop
Event description
What is Growth Mindset and why is it relevant?
A few decades back, Dr Carol Dweck, a professor at Stanford found that there was a difference in how some kids approached challenges and more difficult tasks. Some embraced this, stretched themselves and showed grit when it was tough. Others stayed in their comfort zone and ruled themselves out. The first group not surprisingly achieved and performed far better. She was able to define the characteristics of Growth Mindset (the group that stretched themselves and achieved more) and Fixed Mindset (the group that stays safe and comfortable and doesn’t believe in their own potential).
As adults, this still applies. In the last few years, many workplaces around the world have embraced Growth Mindset as a foundation for their culture and ways of working. And just like those kids, these organisations perform significantly better in every business performance metric you can think of.
Who is this for?
- It’s for the leaders of today and tomorrow who want to understand how Growth Mindset changes what they think is possible for themselves, their teams and their workshops.
- It’s for people who want to learn how to get out of their comfort zones and how to embrace experimentation, learning and yes even failure and mistakes
- It’s for people who want to learn how to create teams based on Growth Mindset and psychological safety (which is the number one reason for effective teams)
