Higher Connections - Bringing together HDR students from across UTS to:
- cross-pollinate ideas
- share knowledge
- explore opportunities for collaboration
This session will focus on publication pathways:
- get your research noticed in the wider world
- hear practical tips and strategies on taking your findings to publication
Embrace the opportunity to meet, discuss and socialise with your colleagues and peers from other faculties.
Light refreshments will be provided.
This session is led by a panel featuring:
- Dr Jesse Adams Stein (DAB; Senior Lecturer and ARC DECRA Fellow at the UTS School of Design, 2021-2023). Jesse is an interdisciplinary design researcher and oral historian specialising in the relationship between technology, work and material culture. Her work has been published in books, numerous peer reviewed journals, and in popular media such as The Herald and The Conversation.
- Anne Casey (FASS; PhD candidate) With 30 years' experience in publishing across a range of sectors, Anne is also an award-winning poet/writer and author of four critically acclaimed poetry collections.
- Alicia Pearce (Law; PhD candidate) Alicia's expertise is in workforce policy, gender equity practice, and legislative reform.
