FAQs
- Can my friend/partner come to the ski trip with me? If your friend/partner is also a postgraduate student of Unimelb, they can buy a ticket and attend the ski trip with you. If they are NOT a Unimelb postgraduate student, they CANNOT attend the trip. Postgraduate status will be checked, and UoM Student ID will be checked on the day of the trip. If a non-unimelb postgraduate student buys a ticket, their ticket may not be refunded.
- Can I bring my own skis/snowboard? Yes, that is fine. Please also ensure you have all the other equipment like poles, boots, helmets and waterproof clothing. If you do not have them, you can hire from MUSKI.
- How do I hire skis with MUSKI? Once you have paid for your ticket, MUSKI will contact you to arrange a date and time for your ski and boot fitting. Please look out for an email from them.
- What other clothing/footwear should I wear for the trip? Waterproof jackets and pants are a must and thermals are recommended if it is below 2 degrees. Goggles and gloves are not compulsory but highly recommended for comfort and safety. Helmets are compulsory if you are skiing and can be hired from MUSKI for $10. If you are not planning to ski, please ensure you have waterproof boots with good traction like hiking boots. (Or you can hire just the boots from MUSKI for $25). Note: GSA will be giving away GSA branded beanies and gloves to all attendees.
