    Event description

What is peralkaline magma and why is it special? Come along and hear about associated mineralisation in NSW!

After completing a Masters degree in igneous petrology and geochemistry at the Queensland University of Technology, Brenainn first joined the Geological Survey in 2018 before joining the PhD program at the University of Queensland in 2021. Since then he has worked in the mineral systems team applying his understanding of magmatic and hydrothermal fluids to generating new knowledge about mineralising terranes in NSW.

The talk will be followed by our AGM from ~6.30-7pm. GSA members are invited to come along and join the committee or tell us about your ideas, then join us for dinner afterwards!
