Geological Survey of NSW Symposium – celebrating 150 years
Event description
Join us at the Geological Survey NSW Symposium - celebrating 150 years at NEX Newcastle from 9.00am - 4.30pm, followed by a ticketed Symposium dinner at 6.00pm.
The symposium programme will feature a keynote presentation and topics covering the founders of the Geological Survey of NSW, historical achievements and milestones in NSW geological mapping and publications, and an overview of a variety of aspects of current thinking on NSW geology by past and present survey staff.
The symposium is also an excellent opportunity to network with current and former Geological Survey staff and to celebrate the legacy of the Survey’s scientific achievement.
A light morning tea will be provided from 10:30 to 11:00 am and a networking lunch from 12.30 pm, in the Avenue.
NSW Resources is committed to ensuring that this Symposium is a safe, inclusive, and enjoyable event for all attendees.
