Helping Rural and Regional Teachers Get Fieldwork Focused

Due to distance from fieldwork providers, some teachers in rural and regional NSW and ACT find it difficult to implemenent fieldwork in a school setting. By the end of the conference teachers will be confident to implement fieldwork for all students from K-12.

Program Overview

Day 1

Official Welcome and introductory session.

Theory session 1 - Integrating fieldwork into assessments.

Practical Session 1 -Using basic fieldwork tools in a land based setting.

Regional Conference Dinner

Day 2

Theory Session 2 - Linking fieldwork to Geography skills.

Theory session 3 - Fieldwork for the Human Geographer

Practical Session 3 - Fieldwork inside the school

Practical Session 4 - Implementing fieldwork in a water based setting.

Theory session 4 - The boring side of fieldwork. Admin.
