Join us for one more Guess My Accent meeting on Friday 15/11/2024!

Whether you're new to Hobart or have been here for years, Guess My Accent is your go-to event to make friends, and build connections. Since 2019, we've been connecting people from around the world in Hobart. Our events are fun, casual, and welcoming to everyone, regardless of your language skills.
Imagine a place where you can chat, laugh, and learn with people from diverse backgrounds. 

That's Guess My Accent! We value connection, courage, growth, respect, and responsibility. Join us and feel a sense of belonging, embrace new challenges, and learn from each other.

Ready to join the fun? We're hosting events once a month – on Fridays. It's free to attend, and you’ll usually find 20 to 35 friendly faces ready to chat. Don’t worry if the RSVP numbers look low here – we have many regulars.

Event Details:
Location: Boodle Beasley - 315 Elizabeth Street North Hobart, TAS 7000 

Date & Time: From 6.30 pm to 8.30 pm.
Cost: Free!
How it works:
6:30 PM - 7:00 PM: Welcome & Registration
When you arrive, head over to the registration desk to grab your name badge. While you’re at it, feel free to grab a drink at the bar, settle in, and get comfortable.
7:15 PM - 8:00 PM: Group Activities ( Before the event day, an email will be sent with the activities details)

**Guess My Accent Event Policies**

   We do not tolerate any form of racism or discriminatory remarks, especially those based on ethnicity, nationality, or cultural background.
2. Offensive Comments on Stereotypes or Accents:
   We ask all attendees to be mindful and respectful of others’ unique backgrounds, including their accents. Offensive comments or stereotypes directed at any individual are not acceptable.
3. Sexual Harassment:
   Harassment of any kind, including unwanted advances or comments, is strictly prohibited. All attendees should feel safe and comfortable in our spaces.
4. General Respect for Others:
   Mutual respect is essential. Please engage with others considerately, and remember that this is a space for positive connections and cultural exchange.
