Gippsland Forest Guardians: Stuart Inchley and Victoria Johnson - Guest Speakers

Stuart Inchley and Dr Victoria Johnson will share what they have learned from documenting rare and threatened species on their Turtons Creek property to championing landscape-scale conservation across the Strzelecki Ranges.

Their work with Tarwin River Forest, Gippsland Forest Guardians and Biodiversity Legacy is helping build a connected, resilient forest and community.

Stuart: With a background in science and education, years of careful observation as co-founder and steward at Tarwin River Forest and through his work with Biodiversity Legacy, Stuart Inchley inspires people about environment and conservation. His research and mapping of threatened species and habitats in the Turtons Creek area, along with leading citizen science projects, engage the community to protect these important places for future generations.

Victoria: Dr Victoria Johnson brings her experience in social policy research and as co-founder and steward at Tarwin River Forest to the Gippsland Forest Guardians. She connects the community to advocate for evidence‑based threatened species protection in the Strzelecki Ranges while building foundations of the Gippsland Forest Guardians organisation.
