GUF22 Geraldine Ukefest
Event description
It may be the middle of winter in July, but Geraldine, a picturesque village in the heart of New Zealand’s South Island, promises to give you a warm and friendly welcome. Geraldine Ukefest (GUF) brings the whole town to life over the four-day festival with The Big Strum, Ukes in Cafes, Workshops, Concerts, OpenMics, Ukes in Church and much more providing plenty of learning and performance opportunities. There's also time for socialising and jamming with friends, new and old.
AVAST! THAARRR BE PIRATES: For our 10th annual GUF we wanted to bring something just a little bit different to the stage to celebrate. We hope you enjoy the WORLD'S FIRST piratical ukulele festival featuring a huge lineup of skallywags and vagabonds. Avast me hearties, Geraldine Ukefest is guaranteed to have something for everyone! Aarrrr!
SONG BOOK: Due to worldwide supply issues and the sharp increase in the cost of paper, sadly we can no longer afford to subsidise the song book as a giveaway. A digital copy of the GUF22 song book will be emailed to all attendees. For those who prefer to take away a hard copy, a high quality wire-bound song book containing 90+ songs that will be sung at jams and strumalongs during the festivals available to pre-order at checkout.Â
GUF IN THE TRAFFIC LIGHTS: Currenty we are at Orange which means no restrictions on event numbers, but the wearing of masks is encouraged.
