Guide Dogs Victoria - Explore Puppy Raising presentation (25th May 2024)
Event description
Explore the joy of raising a Guide Dog Puppy:
- View our beautiful young pups
- Meet a current Puppy Raiser and the pup they are raising
- Hear the story of a Guide Dog's journey and how they change people's lives
- Watch a training session with a Guide Dog Trainer
Light refreshments will be served before the event begins, please arrive by 10:45 am.
Learn more about becoming a Puppy Raiser via the link below, for example our 5 main criteria to become a Puppy Raiser:
- Pups must not be left alone for more than 3-4 hours across each day.
- Pups must sleep indoors.
- Applicants must drive to access to a vehicle 24/7 to attend puppy class and vet clinics or emergency vet visits.
- Children in the home should be 5 years plus.
- Garden or courtyards must be safely fenced.
