Be a Guide for a Day
Event description
What do Queen Elizabeth II, Tay Tay, Venus Williams, Gladys Berejiklian, Hilary Clinton, Tyra Banks, Julia Morris, Princess Margaret, and Dionne Warwick all have in common?
They were all Girl Guides/Scouts!
This movement of over 10 million members has been changing the lives of women and girls worldwide.
Now you too can join us during the school holidays and have a wee taste of what it is like to be a Guide for a Day.
The day will introduce girls (aged 10-15 years old) to the Australian Guide Program, focusing on leadership, life skills, outdoor adventure, creativity, and teamwork. The day's activities will reflect the four key development areas of the Girl Guides: physical, practical, people, and self. For current members it will be a great way to master some of those skills you have learned, or yet to learn!
You can build that with sticks and ropes?? 🪵🪢 Yes you can!
The day promises to bust the boredom, learn something new, make friends and catch a glimpse of your leadership potential. There will be outdoor activities and participants should dress accordingly.
Already a Girl Guide? If you are a current guide please get in contact for a access code that gets you discounted access to the day😉
Guides should be in their uniform shirt (no badges/sash) when attending. Current members must have a valid 2025 Activity Consent and Health Form.
The fee covers activities, lunch and refreshments on the day. The fee entitles attendees to join the Earlwood District for FREE (covers badges, books and the sash. Uniform sold separately). This offer does not extend to any other District.
