    Event description

ACF Brisbane South & Logan Community Group invites you to join us on a guided walk with Ken Eadie (Brisbane City Council Habitat Brisbane program), and Michael Ryan (Norman Creek Catchment Coordinating Committee).

The Habitat program is Brisbane City Council's community bushcare volunteer program. It supports over 160 Habitat Brisbane groups whose hands-on conservation efforts protect and enhance habitat and biodiversity in bushland, parks, wetlands and waterways across Brisbane.

The Norman Creek Catchment Coordinating Committee is a not-for-profit organisation which aims to protect and maintain the ecosystem of Brisbane's Norman Creek Catchment.

Between them, Ken and Michael bring a wealth of knowledge of our local ecosystems and their flora and fauna.

Don’t miss this opportunity to experience a relaxed and informative walk through one of Brisbane’s urban pockets of bushland.

Seven Hills Bushland Reserve covers over 50 hectares and is located 15 minutes south east of Brisbane's CBD. There are paperbarks growing along Perrin Creek and in the moist gully lines throughout the reserve. Wildflower species and grass trees can be found in the understorey.

The circuit is around 3 km and no bushwalking experience is necessary. The tracks are hardened and compacted dirt with some up-hill sections.

Please note that there are no toilets on site.

Bring plenty of water as there are no taps.

Pop a thermos of tea or coffee in the car and stay around for a chat and cuppa after the walk.

We will meet at the track entrance off Latina Avenue Seven Hills 4170.
