GUIDED HIKE: New York Mountains Trail
Event description
Join us on Saturday, October 11th for a guided hike on the New York Mountains Trail, which traverses a rich Joshua tree woodland habitat with good size Joshua trees, Mojave and banana yuccas, and a variety of cacti nestled in blackbrush. We’ll also get to see some beautiful rock features and great views of Avi Kwa Ame (Spirit Mountain), the Castle Mountains, and the New York Mountains.
The New York Mountains Trail is an out and back route. We will be going 2 1/2 miles up a wash to some beautiful rock features where we will have a snack, and then return, for a total of 5 miles. The hike is easy to moderate.
