Guided Hypno-Meditation and Attention Exercise with Artist Nadège Philippe-Janon
Description
Free guided meditation with artist, Nadège Philippe-Janon! If you’ve been spending too long staring at a small glowing rectangle, this is for you.
Join artist Nadège Philippe-Janon for a light-hearted workshop combining an attention exercise with a guided group hypno-meditation session, held within her exhibition Ecologies of Attention at Counihan Gallery.
Combining relaxation and suggestion techniques drawn from hypnosis and meditation, this experience aims to harness our capacity to be absorbed and redirect it towards more inquisitive and mindful ways of attending to the world around us.
Nadège Philippe-Janon is an early career artist based between Southern lutruwita/Tasmania and Naarm/Melbourne. She is currently undertaking a PhD at the Victorian College of the Arts, titled Peacocks, Pendulums and Prisms: the Ecologies of Attention.
Yoga mats will be available or BYO. This workshop is warmly recommended for adults.
This program is supported by Brunswick Baths, who help our community access health and wellness opportunities that encourage movement, connection and overall wellbeing.
