Event description

Join us for a unique mindfulness event in the trees – tune into your wellbeing, reconnect with nature and enjoy some ziplining fun!

Ziptrek Ecotours, in collaboration with headlight and supported by lululemon Queenstown, is thrilled to bring you this unique event during Mental Health Awareness Month.

Led by expert facilitators, you’ll be guided through a treehouse meditation/stretch and fun ziplining experience, while raising funds for the headlight.

You will come out of this experience feeling relaxed and refreshed by mindfulness practices and re-energised having taken on thrilling ziplines. No prior meditation experience is necessary.

This experience includes:

✔ 30-minute guided treehouse meditation and stretch, led by Chris Wille (mats provided)
✔ Two fun ziplines, accompanied by Ziptrek Guides
✔ Optional thrilling 21m Kererū drop experience, or gentle third zipline
✔ $15 donation to headlight, supporting Whakatipu community wellbeing programs

Allow up to two hours for the entire event.

What to Expect

Take the first Skyline Gondola of the day, at 9:30am, and arrive at the Ziptrek Treehouse for a 9:45am start. Gondola tickets sold separately or opt to hike the Tiki Trail (steep trail allow 60mins).

Here you’ll be greeted by your mindfulness facilitator, Chris Wille. Stationed in the treehouse, immersed in the trees and surrounded by majestic mountains, Chris will guide you through a 30-minute grounding meditation and stretch session.

After the meditation, your Ziptrek Guides will get you harnessed up and you'll journey through the forest on two fun ziplines before reaching the spectacular three-level triangle-deck treehouse overlooking Lake Whakatipu. There you will have the option to depart the treehouse deck via the thrilling 21m Kererū drop, or to exit via a short zipline.

You’ll return to the Ziptrek Treehouse at the top of the Skyline Gondola at approximately 11:30am via a short uphill walk.
