Guided Ride: USYD, UTS & TAFE to the City
Event description
Free Guided Ride
Grab your bike — or a share bike — and a friend, and join us for a free 8 km guided ride connecting the University of Sydney, UTS, and TAFE with the city centre. Together we’ll showcase some of Sydney’s best cycleways and bike-friendly connections.
Starting by the corner of Eastern Avenue and City Road, this relaxed ride highlights how campuses and nearby neighbourhoods link into the city via separated cycleways, shared paths through green spaces, and a few low-pressure streets. You’ll discover safe, direct routes for study, work, or leisure — and see how Sydney’s bike infrastructure is making it easier to get around by bike.
This ride is perfect for community members wanting to learn practical bicycle-friendly routes. We ride at a gentle pace, with time to enjoy the journey, take photos, and chat with guides and fellow riders.
You’ll need:
A roadworthy bike (or a share bike) and helmet
Water bottle and snacks
Sunscreen
