Guided Tour of Parliament House and morning tea: Wednesday 4 October, 10.15am

Hosted by Mitcham Historical Society Corporate Member, Catherine Hutchesson MP, Member for Waite (followed by an optional lunch at a venue TBA). Hear what goes on in both the House of Assembly and the Legislative Council and some stories from the past.

Parliament House is well served by public transport - if you are attending this event please consider using the bus, tram or train as is convenient.

Parliament House is historically significant as the home of the South Australian House of Assembly since 1889 and the Legislative Council since 1939. The building was also the venue for the intercolonial Postal and Telegraph Conference of May 1890 and the Australasian Federal Convention of 1897, which was the first of three conventions working to finalise the Australian constitution for a federation of the colonies.
