Jump onboard a metro train and explore new city stations

Hosted by Metro Trains Sydney, operator and maintainer of the M1 North West and Bankstown Line.

Have you caught the Sydney Metro yet?

Join us for an informative morning, exclusive to Seniors Festival 2025, where you'll enjoy a guided tour of architecturally vibrant new stations and learn about the driverless 'turn up and go' services that are making public transport simple and more accessible around Sydney.

On this tour, you'll ride the rails with staff from Metro Trains Sydney. You'll visit new City stations, including Victoria Cross, Barangaroo, Martin Place and Gadigal, where you'll discover;

- The ease, accessibility, and frequency of services, including station locations and interchanges
- The automation technology that makes the network unique
- The impressive engineering feats achieved during construction (including Australia's largest railway cavern and the southern hemisphere's longest escalator)
- The public art commissioned at each of the new precincts.

Come and discover how using Sydney Metro opens up new possibilities for seeing the city.
This event is free however bookings are essential.

Tour commences at the southern entrance of Victoria Cross Station (located on the corner of Miller and Denison Street, North Sydney)
