The FRIENDS of the SLSA are well overdue to revisit the Royal Geographical Society of South Australia! Their rooms have been extensively upgraded and their truly impressive displays modernised and presented more spaciously.
The collection houses many priceless treasures of historical and geographical interest which will especially be on display for our inspection.
Over 25,000 volumes in their library makes the RGS one of the most significant and extensive collections of rare geographical books and manuscripts in Australia. The Society also houses countless historical maps, photographs, documents and artefacts – a judicious selection will also be available for viewing.
