Here’s a great chance to learn more about stars, planets and the wider universe!
Alistair Perkins from the Ashburton Astronomy Club is back with his popular presentation about our incredible universe!
With Matariki appearing at this time of year (in the dawn sky), Alistair can bring into this talk an introduction to Matariki the star cluster, answer questions you may have about it and explain how you can find it in the sky.
After the presentation, Alistair and other Astronomy Club volunteers will help you use telescopes to see the night sky up close.
If it’s wet or cloudy the presentation part will still go ahead. Limited number of tickets available so be in quick!
$10 per ticket - which goes to the Ashburton Astronomy Club & venue hire.
