Event description

Landcare ACT's Women in Nature program celebrates women actively caring for nature across the Canberra region, whilst inspiring others to engage in citizen science and environmental stewardship. The primary aim of the Women in Nature program is to foster a deeper sense of nature connection - through mindfulness, engaging the senses, listening with the whole body, slowing down to notice little details and enjoy moments of beauty, awe and wonder.

Spring has well and truly sprung, and seeing the native wildflowers coming into bloom is reviving and enlivening. Join Nature Connection facilitator Sally Holliday for a guided Wildflower Walk around the Farrer Ridge loop.

This guided walk is one in a series of mindfulness-based walks taking place as part of Landcare ACT's Women in Nature program and welcomes all women, including those who identify as cis, trans, and non-binary. Young children are welcome to accompany mums on the walk, but please note - this trail is not pram friendly.

We will depart from the top of Muresk street at 10am. Please be mindful of parking in neighbouring residential streets, taking care not to block driveway access.
Be sunwise, dress for the weather and wear comfortable enclosed shoes with some tread on the sole.

You will be given a descriptive booklet, prepared by Farrer Ridge ParkCare convenor Wendy Rainbird, with which you can return to the ridge and self-guide at your leisure.
