    Event description

    The Education Committee is excited to host the first ever Guild of Music Supervisors Member Summit, a half day event for Guild members only. The Summit will provide support, knowledge, and tools music supervisors can use to form better business habits, gain new skills, and will encourage internal networking. All membership levels (Freelance, Associate, Corporate & Legacy) are welcome.

    CODE OF CONDUCT


    The Guild of Music Supervisors (the “GMS”) is a highly respected trade organization whose members are comprised of those most accomplished in the craft of music supervision. In order to promote a diverse, inclusive, respectful and safe environment, GMS requires that its members, Friends of the Guild, sponsors, invitees, guests, contractors, employees, and affiliates comply with this Code of Conduct (the “Code”) and any applicable rules and regulations issued by GMS. All GMS members, Friends of the Guild, sponsors, invitees, guests, contractors, employees, and
    affiliates acknowledge and agree to:

    1. Behave in a courteous, professional, and respectful manner towards others, including GMS employees, staff, contractors, vendors, sponsors, and/or persons visiting or working in GMS’ and its affiliates’ offices, meetings, or events.

    2. Respect the rules and property of all organizations and venues hosting, sponsoring, or managing events of or on behalf of GMS and its affiliates.

    3. Communicate differences of opinion regarding GMS matters in a professional manner with due regard for the disparate viewpoints of others.

    4. Refrain from threatening or engaging in any form of abuse, including verbal and physical abuse, bullying, harassment and/or discrimination, including, without limitation, on the basis of race, ethnicity, nationality, gender, gender identity, gender expression, sexual orientation, marital status, pregnancy, disability, age, religion, or any other protected classifications. This applies to verbal, physical and/or written interactions.

    5. Refrain from engaging in unruly, disruptive, lewd, illegal, or unethical conduct at GMS’ meetings, events, or offices.

    6. Refrain from engaging in conduct that is harmful to the standing, reputation, welfare, and best interests of GMS or its members, Friends of the Guild, sponsors, and affiliates.

    7. Refrain from endangering the health or safety of others in connection with GMS events or
    matters.

    8. Refrain from interfering with the duties or authority of GMS’ and its executives, contractors, staff, officers, directors, agents and employees.

    9. Refrain from using affiliation with GMS to profit, including but not limited to , by offering to sell or selling the GMS membership list (which is strictly confidential) unless agreed to, in writing, in advance by GMS (i.e., sponsorship deals).

    10. Keep in strictest confidence any confidential, proprietary or otherwise sensitive information or materials concerning or relating to GMS except where authorized, in advance, by GMS in writing. Refrain from communicating with the media regarding the actions, decisions, business, or affairs of GMS or its affiliates except where authorized, in advance, by GMS in writing.

    11. Refrain from making commitments or speaking on behalf of GMS except where authorized, in advance, by GMS in writing.

    12. Not to use or allow any third party to use any of the trade names, trademarks, titles or logos belonging to GMS in connection with any product or service or for any other purpose whatsoever without the prior written consent of GMS in each instance.

    13. Comply with GMS’ voting solicitation guidelines and ticketing guidelines.

    14. Advise and require their invitees, guests, employees, contractors, and/or agents to comply with the Code.

    Reports regarding a violation of the Code will be guided by the following process:

    1. Alleged violations of the Code should be reported to conduct@guildofmusicsupervisors.com. GMS will protect the confidentiality of such reports to the extent possible.

    2. The person reporting the alleged violation must have first-hand knowledge of the circumstances or facts.

    3. If GMS finds that any individual has violated the Code, been indicted or convicted of a crime, including, without limitation, a felony or crime of moral turpitude, or compromised the integrity of GMS by their actions (as determined by GMS in its sole discretion), GMS may take any adverse action, including without limitation, admission to or ejection from GMS events, or the denial, suspension, or expulsion from GMS’ membership or affiliation, subject to notice and an opportunity to be heard before GMS makes a determination, only if required by law, GMS’ Bylaws, or in GMS’ sole discretion.

    4. Subject to the procedure set forth in the Bylaws or as otherwise required by law, GMS retains its independent duty and authority to address and take action on any matter related to an individual’s status and to enforce the Code.

    The Code is subject to change, and may be amended, supplemented, or superseded (including,
    without limitation, by any one or more separate policies) without notice except where required
    by law.
