Guitar Master Class with Alberto Lombardi

Get ready for an epic masterclass on fingerstyle guitar arrangement and soloing with Italian guitar virtuoso Alberto Lombardi.

Alberto - who has toured with Tommy Emmanuel and taught at his international guitar camps, and also released lessons for prestigious collections like Stephan Grossman Guitar Workshop or Acoustic Guitar Magazine - will delve into his unique approach to fingerstyle arrangement and composition. 

All levels welcomed! 

The fascinating Fingerstyle guitar technique combines accompaniment and melody at the same time and allows complex, independent arrangements of popular songs. 

Alberto will dissect some his arrangements like Yesterday, Isn’t She Lovely or Volare and will guide you to make your own, finding your unique voice on the instrument.  

Fingerstyle arrangement : 

• How to find the right key 

• Choose the bass comping

• Dressing the melody, make it speak 

• Enhancing the harmony, chord colors

• Harmonics, natural artificial, cascade

• Percussions and rhythm (thumb, hand, body) 

• Licks

The second part of the masterclass will be on guitar soloing and improvisation, a big part of Alberto’s background as a session player and electric guitarist. 

He has developed a unique approach to fretboard knowledge, that combines all diatonic scales in a unified 5 shapes only system 

This  simplifies improvisation greatly, freeing creativity from not knowing where the notes are, or knowing too many scale shapes and getting lost.
