Event description

FPMTA GURU BHUMTSOK 26TH - 28TH MARCH 2025 TO BE LED BY GESHE TENZIN ZOPA WITH SPECIAL GUEST GESHE THUBTEN SHERAB

Every year whilst he was alive, precious guru Lama Zopa Rinpoche would sponsor 100,000 tsok offerings to Guru Rinpoche at Khachoe Ghakyil Nunnery, Nepal. There, a huge 75 ft high x 87 ft wide thangka of Padmasambhava is raised for the occasion and thousands of sangha participate in the puja. This inspired FPMT in Australia to organise Guru Bhumtsoks, under the advice of Lama Zopa Rinpoche and support of Geshe Tenzin Zopa. The incredibly kind centres such as Buddha House and Chag Tong Chen Tong Centre who have previously hosted these events have contributed to a hugely meritorious coming together of the Australian FPMT family to pray for world peace and the long lives of His Holiness the Dalai Lama and our teachers.

In 2025 Langri Tangpa Centre in Brisbane has generously agreed to host this national FPMTA puja which will run for two and a half days. Our prayers will again be dedicated for world peace and the long lives of our gurus, and now also for the swift return of our precious teacher, Lama Zopa Rinpoche. For more information and to explore sponsorship opportunities in detail go to our website.

For those intending to register, tickets are clearly labelled at checkout for sangha and non-sangha. There are limited numbers to each due to space restrictions. We ask accordingly that you book one person per ticket.
