Experience Ferries McDonald Conservation Park and it's unique biodiversity of flora and fauna.

Spring is the best time of year to visit the park with many species of birds present, and an abundance of wildflowers. Led by our Senior Project Officer Ben Simon and threatened flora ecologist Kate Graham from Murraylands and Riverland Landscape Board, we will walk the 2km loop trail to discover the diversity of the plant community in the region, including threatened and other significant species.

After the walk, if you are a local landholder please stay for a cuppa and a chat to meet with your neighbours to talk about coordinated pest plant and animal management, best practice revegetation principles and other land management issues.

What to expect:

The track is sandy and undulating, so please ensure you wear appropriate footwear, be SunSmart and BYO water.
As we are in a Conservation Park there are no toilet facilities available.
Access to the park is on Chaunceys Line Road, approx. 1km east of the intersection of Ferries McDonald and Chaunceys Line Roads.
