Habitat Chat-Nature Conservation in the South Port Noarlunga Dunes
Event description
Join us in the Wash House Garden, our artist led garden to welcome Nikola Manos (Nature Conservation Project Officer), and Lee Withers, (Technical Officer Ecological Restoration) from the City of Onkaparinga for an afternoon session focussing on the council’s approach to protecting biodiversity and habitat in the dunes system adjacent to Sauerbier House.
Nikola and Lee will talk about
- How the dunes have changed over time.
- Council’s ecological restoration approach to protecting the native vegetation.
- Highlight some of the amazing flora and fauna of the dunes.
- Community conservation volunteers
Nikola and Lee will also bring along some weed samples as well as some coastal native plants for people to take home too.
We welcome people to stay around after the chat for afternoon tea.
This event is presented by City of Onkaparinga Arts/Sauerbier House and Sustainable Onkaparinga.
