Connecting with habitat at Yellingbo: Home of the Helmeted Honeyeater and Leadbeater's Possum

Join us for a special community gathering in the Yellingbo Nature Conservation Area, part of the Liwik Barring Landscape in the Woori Yallock Creek catchment of the Birrarung.

Spend time connecting with nature on a guided walk on a beautiful Trust for Nature property and learn about two of Victoria's critically endangered faunal emblems; the Helmeted Honeyeater and the Leadbeater's Possum.

This is a family-friendly event with craft activities and badge-making activities for the children.

Please note there are two sessions at 10am and 1.30pm.

Location: The location is a private property at 1019 Maccesfield Road, Yellingbo.

Please wear closed-toe shoes and clothing suitable for the weather. Bring a filled water bottle and snacks.

This event is generously being hosted by Wildlife Carers for Protection of Habitat and Friends of the Helmeted Honeyeater.

• Most Riverfest events are free, and many have limited places with long waitlists. Please only book if you're confident you can attend, so others don't miss out. Bookings are limited to 2 tickets for smaller events and 4 tickets for larger events.
