Hack the Pack!
Event description
Innovate with us at our Music Industry Hackathon on Saturday, 5 October!
Event Description: Join us for Hack The Pack! on Saturday, 5 October to revolutionise the independent music industry and win prizes!
This exciting event brings together those of us who love/live music and who care about the people that make it. Music lovers, musicians, creators, industry professionals, tech experts and enthusiasts are all coming together to have fun and hack solutions to support local artists and transform the music landscape.
We have three distinct challenges to cater to different skill sets and interests:
- Hack the Tech: Developers and coders will dive into our existing tech stack to help complete the MVP build of our fair and sustainable music streaming platform. This is your chance to make a tangible impact with your coding skills!
- Hack the Algorithm: Marketers, publicity mavens, storytellers, and communicators will work with our new Pack branding to develop viral social media and traditional marketing campaigns. Your mission: engage three key sectors - musicians (to build membership and invite music contributions), businesses (to invite membership and support), and donors/sponsors (to raise funds and drive our fundraising campaign).
- Hack the Industry: Advocates and agitators will help us to put pressure on government and major industry players to coalesce behind The Pack. This stream focuses on developing advocacy strategies to encourage the government to support The Pack and on building an ambassador network of influential artists and music industry influencers to grow the visibility of our petition and fundraising campaign.
Join us for a day of creativity, collaboration, innovation, pizza and beer.
Venue: Purpose Studios - The Platform, 256 Adelaide Terrace, Perth CBD
The Pack Music Co-operative: We are dedicated to creating a fair and sustainable music streaming platform, and your participation can make a real difference. Together, let's show the world how it's done!
