Event description

Come help us build TAP lab's Rangatahi (Youth) Tech (STEaM) Club! 
No prior knowledge is required - only curiosity & imagination.

WHAT:

Hacklings is aimed to be a Rangatahi-lead STEaM session where kids can collaborate on projects they're passionate about.
Discover, solve, and create together using tools & resources in TAP lab.

These can include - but not limited to:

    • Textiles: sewing machines, overlocker, embroidery
    • Electronics: Robots, Arduino, Raspberry Pi
    • 3D: modeling & printing
    • Cutting: laser & vinyl
    • Coding, game-design
    • and more! 

    HOW:

    Sign up by purchasing a Humanitix ticket for the term. If you haven't been before you can drop in first to check it out before committing. 

    • Suitable for ages 10+
    • Younger participants must be supervised by a guardian (guardians you can join in too!)

    WHERE:

    This event runs every Thursday from 4:00 - 6:00pm

    TAP lab, upstairs at the Te Atatū Peninsula Community Centre

    ADDITIONAL WEDNESDAY SESSION:

    There is also an invite only session on Wednesday afternoons for some of the older rangatahi, this event listing is for both sessions. 

    Wednesday session sign up:

    1. Select the relevant ticket price for you, continue
    2. On the ticket info screen you can select the Wednesday session from the drop down

    You only need to pay for 1 ticket even if you are attending both sessions
