Hair3Rs: Family Violence Disclosure Training for Salon Professionals

Getting the right support when experiencing family violence can be difficult. Many people choose to talk to someone they trust, like their hairdresser or beauty therapist. Our Hair3Rs training provides all salon professionals (not just hair) with the skills to help clients experiencing family violence. For many, this can be lifesaving.

Feel confident to:

• RECOGNISE: Understand and learn to recognise the signs of family violence in a salon setting.

• RESPOND: Build key skills in responding to disclosures or safely ask questions if you suspect a client may be experiencing family violence.

• REFER: Understand the key family violence services available in the community and know how to safely ‘refer’ a person experiencing family violence to the right support.

Understanding and supporting someone experiencing family violence is not the core role of a salon professional. But it's one that we know many salon professionals face and would like to learn more about. Our training provides vital skills to understand more about your role in this space and to know how to safely manage family violence disclosures. Ticket: $22 (including GST)

NOTE: This session will only go ahead if a minimum of 10 participants are registered 7 days prior to the event. A full refund will be provided to all registered participants if the session is cancelled due to low registrations.
