Halaqa (حلقة): Where Gatherings Spark Tales and Kindles Friendship

The word Halaqa means “circle” in both Arabic and Persian, symbolizing connection, inclusivity, and shared experiences. Rooted in the tradition of intimate gatherings, Halaqa has evolved into a space where everyone becomes an active participant, contributing through food, music, stories, or conversations. It transcends seasons and time, welcoming people from all walks of life to connect, create, and celebrate the richness of diverse cultures.

Each Halaqa is a unique experience, featuring fresh music, inspiring spoken word performances, thought-provoking short films, and spontaneous collaborations. These artistic highlights are accompanied by delicious vegan food and tea, fostering an atmosphere of warmth and belonging.

More than an event, Halaqa is a shared experience, an ever-expanding circle that grows with each new connection. It is an invitation to connect with someone new, share your thoughts and stories, and create lasting memories. As a wise saying reminds us, “An adventurous life requires a variety of friends who aren’t just like us, friends who add more stories. After all, we are nothing but our stories.”

Let Halaqa be a celebration of culture, creativity, and the human connections that bring us together, a place where hearts connect, and stories unfold in beautiful and unexpected ways.
