Half-Day Sitting May 18
Event description
This is a basic half-day sitting which will be held in silence with alternating periods of zazen (seated meditation, usually thirty-minute periods) and kinhin (walking meditation, usually ten minutes). There will not be Dharma talk, just the chance to settle into zazen. There will be a morning tea break and we'll end before lunch.
If you are new to Zen practice, we recommend that you attend the scheduled orientation with zazen instruction on May 4 at 10am, or the Beginners' Half-Day Sitting on May 11.
If you have questions and would like to speak with a teacher about your participation, please email info@stonecreekzen.org.
Sliding scale, no one turned away for lack of funds.
(This event replaces the originally scheduled Weekend Sesshin.)
