Inspire Half Year Hafla 2023
Event description
A party and concert for Inspire Bellydance students and (female) friends.
This casual, colourful evening will include:
- Student showcase: bellydance students of all levels sharing what they have learned in class
- Guest performances: Inspire Bellydance teachers and friends
- Social dancing: Arabic party music by DJ Tara
- Optional Egyptian meal; otherwise BYO snacks / drinks
This is a women-only event out of respect to those students who cannot perform in front of men. (We have many non-gender-specific public events throughout the year, where men and non-binary folks are welcome.) Thanks for respecting this! All women are welcome: performers and non-performers, dancers and non-dancers, family and friends. Come dressed to dance!
Doors open 6.30pm, show starts 7pm.
General Admission $20 +bf
Seating is a mix of floor cushions and chairs. Seats cannot be reserved: we encourage you to be flexible and considerate, and enjoy meeting new friends!
Food/Drinks: You can pre-purchase a bowl of delicious Koshari, a hearty vegan Egyptian street food, which will be delivered by Koshari Korner (GF option available). It's $17.50 for a generous serving. You are also welcome to bring your own snacks / drinks, if so please keep it neat and tidy, and bring everything you need (cutlery, glasses etc) and take all rubbish home with you. Please bring your own reusable water bottle.
Transport: The venue is close to Marrickville train station as well as bus services, and has an accessible entrance from Tuohy Place. Parking is limited; we encourage car-pooling wth your classmates.
