This Halloween, The Story Studio invites you to step into the shadows for one of Universal’s great horror classics.

James Whale’s The Invisible Man (1933) stars Claude Rains as Jack Griffin, a scientist who discovers a way to make himself invisible. What begins as a scientific breakthrough soon becomes a terrifying descent into obsession, power and madness.

Based on H.G. Wells’ 1897 novel, The Invisible Man remains one of the defining films of Universal’s classic horror era. Claude Rains never appears visibly on screen as the Invisible Man, yet his voice and performance create one of cinema’s most memorable monsters.

Join us at Aratoi for a special Halloween screening in the gallery foyer.

Bring your friends, settle in and revisit a genuine piece of horror history on the big screen.

Presented by The Story Studio as part of a weekend of Halloween film events across the Wairarapa.
