Walk & Talk at Hamann’s Bush Reserve
Description
Join us at Hamman's Bush Reserve (Leongatha North) for a bush walk and talk with Ross Henry, ranger from the Bunurong Land Council Aboriginal Corporation. Nick Dudley from Arawata Landcare Group will also be joining us.
Ross will talk about:
Plant ID & plant communities
Sensitive management techniques to promote healthy populations of native plants
Sensitive and alternative weed management/suppression techniques
Plant uses
Orchids, herbs and creepers — their life cycles, management and threats
Nick will share:
How Arawata Landcare is helping protect this reserve
Some of the latest bird survey work they've completed with BirdWeather

Please dress appropriately with warm, waterproof clothing and sturdy footwear. Please note there are no shelters or toilets at the reserve so bring what you need for a comfortable experience in nature.
