Join artists Emma Croker and Elspeth Rowell in a 6-week hand building ceramics workshop where you will learn the basics of working with clay. This is a well-rounded course that each week builds on the last and participants can come away with a good amount of knowledge. Taking inspiration from natural forms and abstract sculptural pieces Emma and Elspeth will guide you through different processes and encourage creative expression!
Week 1: introduction to hand building, forming exercises
Week 2: small vessel forming and surface additions
Week 3: larger vessel forming session
Week 4: refining and surface additions to week 3 vessels
Week 5: underglaze and wax resist
Week 6: glaze objects
