Event description

Creating something with clay is a fun way to get creative while also practicing mindfulness. In this workshop you will create pieces using hand building techniques.

In each session of you can expect to create around 2-3 small pieces.

If you decide to book further sessions, you will learn a range of hand-building techniques with clay; pinch pots, slab building and coil pots. Once finished you can either take your pieces with you to be fired and glazed or leave them to be fired and glazed for you. If you join for further sessions, you can leave your items to decorate and glaze yourself.

Materials: Sessions include lump of clay and tools to use plus firing and glazing. You will be supplied with pots of tea, coffee and cake or a mug of soup.

Bring an apron and old towel, you’re bound to get dirty. I will have some on hand if you forget.
