HANDS ACROSS THE WORLD - 2023 CAMBODIAN DINNER FUNDRAISER @ MY BAYON

MEET SOVANNY AND THIDA! 

We met Sovanny and Thida again on our most recent trip to Cambodia in April of 2023. The first time Cindy met them was in 2016 when they were still little girls. Now they have grown into determined young ladies and after sponsoring them for their first year of study of Accounting at The Cambodian University of Specialties (CUS), we have decided to continue with our Sponsorship Program.

Education in Cambodia Hands Across the World is a not-for-profit organization working to improve education in Cambodia. By 2027, with the help of our generous supporters, we aim to provide quality education to 258,000 children at just $1.98 per child.

My Bayon is the best Cambodian Restaurant in Perth! Bayon is a temple in Siem Reap, Cambodia with over 200 smiling faces. They want to share the unexplored cuisine, culture, and history that is truly Khmer, all the food is homemade with love and authenticity, recipes passed down from generations of mixed South-East Asian culture. My Bayon awards include Gold Plate Awards Finalist 2021 - Travellers Choice 'Best of the Best 2021 - Trip Advisor Travellers Choice 2020.

TICKETS $80 per person   

Join us for an evening of fine Cambodian cuisine, complimentary glass of wine upon arrival, entertainment, raffles, games and prizes.  All donations go directly to Sovanny and Thida's educational program.

SEATING

Tables can be purchased for a maximum of 7 or 10 people. If you wish to be seated at a table with others who have purchased individual tickets please email tracy@HATW.online and we will do our best to accommodate.

DINNER MENU

ENTRÉES:

• Boxing Chicken (New on the menu) - Wing drumstick marinated in lemongrass & lime leaf, fried and tossed in chilli lemongrass sauce. Moderate- Medium spicy.
• Khmer Citrus Beef Salad - Medium rare, thin beef slices cured in lime juice and with Asian herbs, crushed peanuts & crispy fried shallots
• Vegetarian Spring Rolls - Hand rolled mini fried spring rolls with fillings of cabbage, taro, potato, carrots, mushrooms and vermicelli noodles.
• Char Grilled Chicken Satay - Darwin Mindil Beach Market inspired served with homemade peanut sauce.

MAINS:

• Red Duck curry - Boneless duck meat simmered in a curry of coconut milk with fruit of lychee, pineapple and tomato.
• Chicken Pad Thai - Thin rice noodles, wok-fried with egg, vegetables and crushed peanuts.
• Grilled Eggplant with Mince Pork (New on the menu) - Sweet and succulent grilled eggplant topped with delicious pork mince garlic stir fry. (Can make this a vegetarian option if you like)
• Kai Lan in Garlic & oyster sauce - Aromatic garlic & oyster sauce over a bed of blanched crunchy green Chinese broccoli.
• Steamed Jasmine rice
