Join us in learning te ao Māori approach to restoration!
Hands On Ecology workshop series is designed for community restoration groups and anyone keen to learn about restoration ecology through a te ao Māori lens. A 3-hour session offers practical skills for restoring private and public spaces, and may include up to 2 hours of walking—please dress appropriately and bring water/snacks.
This session covers:
Ridgeline to sea - how we connect through whakapapa to each of those spaces
Looking at elements to design your restoration, including hau, wai and whenua
Site specific species & endangered ecologies
Registration is essential as participant numbers are limited for health and safety reasons.
