Join us in learning te ao Māori approach to restoration!

Hands On Ecology workshop series is designed for community restoration groups and anyone keen to learn about restoration ecology through a te ao Māori lens. A 3-hour session offers practical skills for restoring private and public spaces, and may include up to 2 hours of walking - please dress appropriately and bring water/snacks.

This session covers:

Examining and working with oneone (soils) within the Kaipātiki area
Soil structure & dealing with slips and restoration on shifting ground
Plants that grow and support soils
Micro and macro soil diversity and when to and when not to move them

Registration is essential as participant numbers are limited for health and safety reasons.
